I think you mean “A few answers from Donald Rumsfeld”
I think I can safely say the original post is not suitable for Great Debates.
I think RTF is symbolically illustrating the emptiness of political rhetoric.
I thought the OP was a direct quote from David Kay’s blockbuster of a report on all the weapons the team has found in Iraq.
I think we’re overusing the phrase “I think”.
And yet, ironically, Iraq is a country awash in “person to person” arms. I suspect history will show that Saddam Hussein enjoyed for a decade, playing the role of provocoteur - the spoiler who simply delighted in “doing in” the collective heads of US Presidents - and yet, all along quietly dismantled all the shit which could have got him into deep trouble.

Just to upset Donald if he decides to show up in this thread.
[Donald Rumsfeld]
What’s that? Speak up, son!
[/Donald Rumsfeld]
The only question I have left for him that he might have a useful answer to is “Why haven’t you resigned yet?”
Rumsfeld prefers to write his own questions:
Are Iraqis glad to see us? Without a doubt!
Was Saddam an evil dictator? Most certainly!
Are interviews easier when I ask myself softball questions? Goodness gracious yes!
I think you are mistaken in thinking that we are overusing the phrase “I think.”
Just a thought.
Aaaargh!! I hate it when my OP gets eaten. And this one was kinda long; I don’t expect to have time to re-compose it today. The gist was that he had a long op-ed piece in yesterday’s Washington Post, and I had some problems with, and questions about, a number of specific things he said there.
Maybe tonight, if I can find the time.
Meanwhile, if a mod could close this thread, I’d be much obliged. I’ll start a new one if I rewrite my OP.
