How so? Claude was adamant that they were thoughts and nothing more, and that the point was acting on those thoughts drew a distinction.
Cesario’s apologists also have this position. Yet Claude was suspended pending further review and Cesario is posting in this thread.

Which is the reason I’ve stopped offering plausible explanations. Except for a few mods who seem to respond as soon as they get the chance, I always get a feeling of post hoc reasoning from the mods.
Because, chances are, I can come up with a plausible reason to do practically anything. Especially since the requirement is just that you thought it was a good idea at the time, and can fall to scrutiny later.
12 hours later, no mod response but there have been at least three or four official warnings and several mod notes. And mods are still posting.

See, there’s this double secret word out there. It changes hourly. And if you say the double secret word, then poof, you are insta-suspended. It happens that Claude Remains said the double secret word, whereas Cesario did not.

I’d guess that there’s currently modly debate about this, and they don’t want to jump the gun by coming in and proclaiming what’s going to happen unilaterally.
Might be nice for a mod to indicate that there’s current discussion about this issue, though.
Since what to do about a problem named Cesario is Ed’s decision, I wouldn’t expect an immedate answer, simply because it is a weekend.
The suspension of Claude Remains was a unilateral decision on my part. No other mod has responded to this thread because they were not party to my action. I have been away all day, and therefore haven’t had the opportunity to respond to this thread earlier. My apologies for the delay in response.

To me it has actually reached that point where all one can do is laugh at it because its (meaning the entire situation, Cesario, Claude, the Mods, Zotti, indecision, decision, etc) become so surreal and bizarre.
The fact that Claude Remains’ suspension can be unilateral but somehow Cesario is the Administration’s special pet goes beyond hypocritical straight to being thoroughly repulsive.
At this point I can only assume that Cesario is, in fact Ed Zotti.

I suspended Claude Remains so that his post could be taken up for review by the mods and admins. I specifically mentioned that the suspension was pending further review. Suspensions and bannings cannot be made unilaterally - except those made to allow time for review - under our current mod guidelines. On review, the suspension has been lifted, as Ed mentions in his post. Further, a new rule has been created to prevent either of these situations occuring again. Specifically:
