I’ve never, EVER started a serious “Why was so-and-so banned/suspended” thread in the 10 years I’ve been here and I’ve made fun of people who regularly started them so this is new for me.
But this seems totally insane: Remains has like 500 posts since 2004 and one time in 6 years he posts about a sick fantasy he’s had and BANG! he’s insta-banned so quick my head spun.
Which would be fine if there was even a hint of consistency…but Cesario has posted his disgusting pervert fantasies all over the damned board and per Marley, he may not have even been formally warned!
What the hell is the problem here?

A stalwart member like Claude should be allowed a little latitude. I mean, a few posts in 500 about wanting to have sex with a 5 year old is hardly a crime, right?

Dude–that’s not what I’m asking, hence the “Which would be fine if there was any consistency” line. I’m fine with him being banned/suspended/whatever. I want to know why Cesario hasn’t been banned under the same rule…especially since he does it a LOT more often.
From what I know about the situation (which could well fail to be everything…) it seems like Claude Remains and Cesario should either both be banned or both be… not… banned. <—Better English would be better.

Still waiting for an answer, Mods–since I posted this, there have been two mod-notes to other posters that I’m aware of, a dozen posts by Marley, maybe 6 by Czarcasm, one or two by Wombat…and not one single post by a mod here in this thread.
It’s not that tough of a question: If Claude was suspended within hours of posting that he once fantasied about raping a 5 year old, why is Cesario still prancing around after 4 or 5 “mod notes” and ~300 posts where he’s actively advocating raping infants?
This is shameful. Claude posted nothing worse than what Cesario posts. The only difference is that Cesario has posted his obvious trolling idiocy across many more forums, over a much longer period of time.
But Claude is suspended and Cesario continues to post freely. And the moderators here seem to think that if t hey just ignore this thread, no one will notice?
My WAG guess is that Claude Remains made the error of espousing an illegal act, while Cesario has always danced up to that line and not over it. It is the finest of hair-splitting legalistic-type bullshit, and in a better world, they’d both be done here before today is over. Intolerance of some things that are intolerable is fine by me (not many, but some - this is one of them).
Eh, I doubt the mods were that careful. I think they suspended him on more of a whim. If pressed, they may make some sort of argument like that you propose but I’m sure it will be created post hoc.
