For the second time, this week’s ER will feature a health care worker performing an ultrasound examination of her own fetus, doing so in private for her own information.
So I’m curious, because none of the many women I know in health care will admit to ever doing this. Have any of you tried it, or even thought about it?
Is this even realistic? I didn’t have an ultrasound during my pregnancy, but I’m of the idea that it’s not as simple as slapping some jelly on the belly and waving the wand around, especially not on oneself. It all seems pretty far-fetched to me, and here it is for a second time. Blah.
