I have tomorrow morning free in Andover, Massachusetts. What should I see? What’s of interest? What is unusual? I like history. I’m only here for a few hours.

We got’s yer history right here. It’s really a beautiful town.
Phillips Academy has the Peabody Museum which focuses on Native American artifacts. It’s apparently by appointment only, but don’t let that hold you back.
It also has the Addison Gallery of American Art which is a nice little gallery.
Would you mind checking to see if there is a “John Underwood” listed in the phone book? If so, don’t call the person. This has to do with a story that I read probably thirty or forty years ago.
Supposedly a postman was given a letter to deliver. All that it had on it was the following:
WOOD
JOHN
MASS
According to the story, it was correctly delivered to John Underwood, Andover, Massachusetts.

I don’t know if this is still true, but I used to go quite often to the old Western Electric plant in North Andover. One thing not to do - go to a Chinese restaurant around there. They serve bread. :eek:
Besides that, we went to Boston for fun.
China Blossom! The food’s not even in the neighborhood of good, but sometimes they get decent comedians in.
