Genetics be damned; I went through and set all 28 values to “2”. That got me a rather unremarkable squat black thing that grew multicolored squarish flowers. I then set all the values to “8”.

I recommend Plant Eight. It makes an excellent stock with which to combine any of your various creations for delightful results.

ETA: Plant Nine does appear to be, as might be expected, from Outer Space. Sadly, it does not differ enough from Plant Eight to be interesting in its own right.

Okay. Like I noted, I set it up to “evolv-o-matic” with one single “alpine lily” from the Shop. I woke up this morning to this:

That’s strangely beautiful, jayjay. Here’s what crossing that with a dahlia gets you:

I’ve noticed that crossing with the sakura leeches the color from the result’s flowers, while crossing with the dahlia adds it back in, if you’re going for pink flowers, at least.
