A gigantic memorial dedicated to the fact that we are not at war with Canada

The 2300 acre Peace Garden

But we can still make fun of them, right?

What? Manitoba and North Dakota get one that’s ten times the size of ours?

Let’s kick their ass!

Well just be careful, they are quite sensitive, and we don’t want horseplay to turn to tears, so mind your manners when joshing 'em.

I think you meant to say, “But we can still make fun of them, eh?”

Harry,
Why is the American flag above the Canadian one?

That’s interesting! I had never even heard of the place before. I wonder why no newsworthy events ever happen there. Probably because it’s between North Dakota and Manitoba.

I was wondering the same thing, but it’s just an odd camera angle.

This picture shows they’re on the same level. (They’re not on the same pole, with one flag above the other, as Larry Mudd’s link seems to show; rather, one flag is at one end of the arch and the other flag on the other end.)

In this picture, it’s the Canadian flag which looks higher (although it’s not nearly so blatant as the picture which seems to show the U.S. flag flying above the Canadian flag; you can still tell they’re really at the same level).

I’m just wondering why they’d want to have moose in a garden.

Quit complaining.

All we have is one lousy bridge and a handful of those crossings with the toll-booth-like thingies.

The US and Canada:

Not at war since 1812.

Well, 1814.

And the Good Guys won, as my Canadian friends point out.
