A good camera function to replace iPod Touch 4-Gen

A friend’s iPod Touch 4th Gen is needing replaced. She wants something with a good camera function that will take detailed photos for the jewelry to plans to sell on eBay.
Should she just get a newer iPod Touch or something like an Android? And are there tutorial or apps that will help her take quality photos with what she does have until the present iPod Touch is unusable? Thanks!

I’ve made this its own topic, as I assumed you meant it as.

If she wants to buy a camera, she should do that and not buy a fancy electronic gizmo. She’ll get a better value for her money.

I found some info that renders this thread obsolete. Thanks!

Honestly, if she was happy with the camera on the iPod Touch 4th Gen, then practically anything with a lens and a sensor will do. Apple was kind of going through the motions with that one.

She was still needing her iPod replaced but now she is looking at alternatives, such as an Android. Would she be able to load everything from her iTunes onto something else besides an iPod? Or is there a way to convert the format to the alternate mp3 player?

Are her iTunes songs in .aac format (Apple’s proprietary format for iTunes)? iTunes can convert them to mp3 format, then you can transfer them to an SD card or whatever you need.

Can they be converted en masse or do they need to be done one at a time?

You can convert multiple files. Here are the instructions from Apple support.

.aac isn’t proprietary. Lots of devices can play formats. You may have trouble with DRM if the files are from before Apple dumped the DRM.

I stand corrected. Ignorance fought.
