I saw swampy!
I saw you too, swampy! And also thought the priest was exceedingly young. But yay for good new ideas!
I’ve been knitting (surprise) and watching Buffy on hulu and shredding stuff and eating and being kinda tired. Thinking of going for a little walk, because I haven’t been out at all.
Guess I’ll go see about that…
GT
Oh come on, that was just a* tease*. I mean, we sorta saw swampy, but not really!
Although, the new priest sounds like a pretty awesome guy.
Well, TVMan and I took a small road trip back to my house today. We went to look at a new (to me) car and hopefully on Monday I’ll be getting it. Pictures to follow, of course. Also, TVMan got the pleasure of meeting my father’s girlfriend. *A good time was had by all. *
Woo hoo for Swampy being on TV and especially for the new priest, who looks quite the young-un, but rowr, he is also handsome. LOL Is that sacriledge?!
Doggio, I thought I saw earlier that Nellie had whizzed on your -head- (I do know it was in the bed LOL sorry
!) I do think it might be time to get some doggy depends, though. What’s happening with Thrak btw? No news of the kitteh in a while, so do share.
Yay to BBBBBobbio for movin’ the door handle, especially since it will kill two birds with one stone!
And double yay for TaterDaughter getting her license. I never went back after flunking mine (driving) the first time - the state trooper scared me. Heh.
I wish I could remember more…sorry about the trip all the way to Cockeysville, FCM, but at least FCD did get to a store and will be able to put together exactly what he wants. Too bad we won’t be able to keep the stock of wet trouts there, though, since it will be a salt water tank!
I have enjoyed my Saturday and am looking forward to my Sunday.
Herbs all the little ol’ ladies think new Priest is just the keeeeyooootest thing evah! I’ve been teasin’ him about havin’ groupies.
Ham should be done shortly. I want it to be done. I’s gettin’ sleepified. I’ve been up since four a.m. YAWN
Tara, she does it as an anger thing when I work late. Thrak clawed through a screen 5 months ago, and I haven’t seen him since.
swampy, your priest is adorable! swooooooooon I’ve only got two years on him, he’s not too young for me. Hmm. Road trip?
My kitteh gave me a mild scare this morning, but I think it’s okay. Her right eye was extra-squinty, as if she didn’t want to open it, really. But this evening it seems to be better. Either I’m imagining things or she is at the very beginning of kitteh pinkeye or something. I do live next door to the vet so if it gets nasty I will have her there ASAP.
Now I am off to bed. Gotta work tomorrow. My off days right now are Tuesday and Wednesday, so tomorrow is my Thursday. I never know what day it is anymore.
IIRC the priest is married, ladies, so hold back.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. I also have the company smashed N.O.T. bakin’ away. I also remembered to get the frozen rolls out to thaw. Go Me! Soon I shall make up a batch of Bloody Mary’s. 'Twill be a nummy N.O.L..
Oh and if that ain’t enough for one day, I also get to ush at church today. It’ll all work out though cause N.O.L. will commence at one o’clock.
Yep ladies and others who may be droolin’ over him, Father Jay is married. So, back off!
Up but not shining. The party was awesome, and thanks to Attacks Husband, Quasi-Daughter, and Tall Blonde Friend everything is slightly cleaner than before we had (last count) twenty-six people here.
We have an amazing number of bottles of wine.
The food was good.
Nat was up intermittently all night.
Going to look for caffeine.
Lucky her, then! But he’s still a cutie. g (There’s nothing wrong with just admiring, right?)
Blurf. Caffienation will commence in a couple of minutes. Work will commence at 8.
Up and only partially caffeinated here.
{{{{{{Doggio}}}}}} - so sorry to hear about Thrak, but maybe he’ll turn up when it gets colder. I dunno what to say about Nellie, though. Well, at least it wasn’t your head, right? ducks
LiLi, sounds like you had a great party!
LOL I knew that priest was married, was just remarking on how cute he is.
And Swampy, the congregation does look diverse, great doings! I am still wondering about how to find a church I’ll be comfortable in, and I think diversity is high up on the list. Albany GA is a bit too far for me to go, though.
I’m thinking pancakes this morning … and where is FCM?! Could the critters be letting her sleep in?! LOL Let us hope that they’re not whizzing in her bed … which one of the kittehs has been known to do, btw. LOL ducks again
Happy Sunday y’all.
Herbs we are a somewhat diverse and smallish congregation. It was a draw for me when I first started goin’ to St. Pat’s. It’s also a fun place. Our church is a combination church and Parish Hall right now because we are a very social group and the need for a nice kitchen and space to hang out as well as worship is very important. The Bishop wanted ups to build a “church proper” and add a kitchen and Parish Hall later. That would not work for us.
Ok, company smashed N.O.T. are baked. Well, they need about fifteen more minutes with some grated parmesan cheese on top to melt which I will do after churchification. Ham is sliced and ready to be heated up. Beans just needed to be heated up. Green sallit was made last night. Rolls need to be baked at the last minute of course. Oh and most important of all, the batch of Bloody Mary’s is made.
Plus, I’m all purtified for churchification. I’s been a bizzy bear!
ETA: Glad the party went over well LiLi.
I’m here, tarra, and I did get to sleep in till 7:30-ish, with several wake-up-look-at-the-clock-snuggle-down episodes intervening. **FCD **and I went to Bob’s for breakfast, then to Lowe’s for some stuff. SIL leaves for work in about 90 minutes, and daughter and I need to do some grocery and other shopping. Plus we’re going to the alpaca farm, and we’ve got to stop by the pharmacy for some meds. Gonna be a busy afternoon.
**FCD **is starting to build his filter sump. He’s so excited about this fish tank setup. I’ve already informed him that I don’t do fish. I like to look at them, but I’m not interested in dealing with an aquarium. Just needed to make that clear to him up front.
swampy, I wanna come to your place to eat! or you can come here and cook for me. Either way.
And speaking of eating, we’ve pretty much decided that the two of us are going to Ocala for the week of Thanksgiving. We’ll leave here on the Sat or Sun before, and return the Fri or Sat after, avoiding the worst of the traffic and giving **FCD **a bunch of days to hang with his dad. My FIL is approaching 80 and he’s dealing with a lot of health issues, and I think it’s being compounded by a little depression at the realization that he can’t physically do what he could do at 50. Heck, he can barely walk sometimes… He has had surgery recently, and he’s having more on Thursday, but as may be expected, he doesn’t recover as quickly, and I think that’s really bringing him down. So we’re going down to cheer him up. And eat.
Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for now - do we have anyone on deck for tomorrow?
rainy blurfage
Blurf. I woke up at 4:30 this morning sick. I have managed to catch whatever crud my kids have. My head is stuffed and headachey, and my chest feels ucky. I’m alternating between burning up and freezing.
We had a great time last night with our friends. We picked one of them up, and then headed out to dinner and drinks at an Irish pub. The food was tasty and the drinks were strong.
They wanted to go out to a jazz club too, but I just didn’t feel up to it. I was incredibly tired all of a sudden. Should have known Teh Sick was creeping up on me.
I can’t miss work though. I have to finish a BCA and I only have this coming week to finish it up. Plain and simple. Dammit. Worst time to get sick.
Swampy, can I have your autograph now that you’ve been on the teee-veee?
I think I’m going to go lie down under a blanket for a bit.
Afternoon! I was so pooped I slept till 11:30 today. I think I’ll just goof off and watch football today.
{{{{Taters}}}}
Glad you had a good party, LiLi.
So, I was going to post the following this morning, but failed to hit submit:
Glad the party went so well, LiLi!
Gotta agree that the priest is a cutie.
What kind of car, Pie? Yay!
Up and in mid clean-up. I’m consolidating all my knitting and clearing off the dining room table.
Need additional caffeine before I keep going. Am having red-cabbage salad for breakfast as well.
Update since then:
Yay for the nice evening, Taters, but sorry you’ve been struck by the Sick.
Went to Target and then to church. Managed to escape Target with a less than $100 entry fee, even though it was a miscellaneous shopping outing.
I’ve had taquitos with lots of fresh salsa for lunch and a couple of cookies, and now need to continue on the cleaning and organizing rampage. We’ll see how I do.
Off I go…
Hugs.
GT
Feel better taters!
I am packed and ready to go to Nigeria…I am really not looking forward to it although once I have done this trip I don’t have to go back for a year!
Enjoy the rest of your Sundays!
Back from erranding. We stopped at the alpaca farm for about half an hour and talked with the woman who runs the place. Learned lots about alpacas. Then we took a look at the stuff they had for sale. I had thought I might pick up a skein or two of yarn, but at $20 for 100 yds, um, nope. I only had $5 on me anyway.
Almost time to feed the critters. Sloppy joes for supper - just heat and eat. yay!
Then knit position. Thus endeth my weekend. alas…
