Since I'm The First One Who Felt Like It I'll Start The MMP

Cause I’m all generous like that.

Good Mornin’ Mumpers! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN ‘Tia 63 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of near 90 and rain predicted for later on today. This is Spring in south Jawja. Other than that I got nuttin’.

Now I shall seek more caffiene and food for rumbly tummy.

Hijack away and Happy Monday!

First!

I got nuthin’…

A ladybug just flew into my coffee, I fished it out and resumed sippin…

twas might hot yestiddy, near freaking 80! now back to spring and mid 50’s…

morning all - no caffeination today as I’m headed to have blood drawn! Tummy must remain rumbly too, darn it all! LOL

Supposed to be up in the 80s today so I have a gasp dress on! I may feel a bit chilly in the am but by this afternoon I’m going to be glad I put the dress on. I hope.

Happy Monday all!

Hey,

I’m in Madriz (capital of Espain) today, so it’s almost cold, a mere 20ºC at 9am. There’s this new team joining today; they’re subordinate to my almost-ex-team. If I was staying, they would have had a week or so of Finding The Coffee Machine And Other Important Stuff and reading documents before we got to talk about what do they exactly have to do and the whys and wherefores of it - instead, the first day of the guy who would’a been my direct report is “hi, have a memory dump!”

Have finished memory dumping, off to wander in search of teammates and ask about NOL-time.

Afternoon all! It’s grey and murky over here after the beautiful weather we had over the weekend, I guess nobody really likes a Monday after all.

Nothing much going on here, I am trying to sort out holiday dates to get away for a week with my mum but sometimes it’s like herding cats.

On the subject of cats, Shadow is off to the vet tonight as he’s not putting any weight at all on his front right leg and miaows when he’s hobbling around. At least, I think he’s going to the vet, I couldn’t find him this morning and he wasn’t around when I put food down for them earlier.

Naughty cat, he should know there’s no hiding from me!

It’s already hot here. Yesterday was around 90°F. We are having a severe drought, and “red flag notices” (burn bans) are in effect. Today we are getting a cool front in, but only a 20% chance of rain. This is supposed to be our rainy season!

Cinnamon, that’s how I roll. Just ask my keyboard.

Yeah, Dolores, hella drought we’re in right now. I don’t remember any spring so dry or windy. C’mon front! There have been several reports on the news about snakes invading neighborhoods. Our exterminator says mice too, all as they’re looking for water which ain’t where it used to be.

Heh, Nava, we’re having our first very warm day today- it’s 19C!

Morning. Kids need wrangling. Bye.

I herd that.

Make sure that is wrangle, and not strangle. Remember, God made them cute so you don’t kill them.

Spring has sprung all over the place. I was sitting out on the porch today and I noticed flakes of pollen falling on me. Still not as bad as the pine pollen Down East, though.

I hated to get up and go to irk this morning – it was in the 50’s and the cool breeze was coming in the window, birds singing, and my bed was warm and cozy…sigh. Even the dogs weren’t in a tearing hurry to get up and go out to chase the robins.

But remember that most other species do eat their young - be a trend setter and start now!

Warm but storms expected. Hail yet again. I haven’t caught any damage much more than losing some of the trim stripe from the car but ----- its a matter of time.

Storms are expected here as well. We had a doozy on Saturday. Torrents of rain and hail. Sounded like the inside of a popcorn popper, except instead of popcorn, there was hail anywhere from pea-size on up to nearly golf ball size. Fortunately, nothing was damaged, but the rain was so intense that rocks were washed out of the landscaping and now there’s a pool of rocks on the sidewalk.

The car now has a voice. I changed the “Excuse meep” horn to a pair of horns that now say “Yo! HONK!” Well, they don’t actually say anything, but they’re much louder. Now I can actually hear the horn inside the car.

What is it with the uncouth? Unless they were truly born in a barn, don’t most adults understand the idea of putting glasses on coasters to protect the table? We had some guests over the weekend, and now one table has a white ring and another table got wet enough that the veneer lifted. Anyone got a hissy fit icon?

I can buff the ring out, but the veneer will be harder to fix… grrr

Yesterday started out overcast. Today should hit the 80s. Tonight, a cold front. Tomorrow, snow for all I know, followed by a sandstorm, followed by a tornado moving houses from place to place without damaging them, followed next week by partly cloudy with a chance of matzah balls.

Howdy Y’all! Checkin’ in from irk. Munchin’ on a sammich and surfin’ around for a bit.

gotti uncouthness abounds, alas. I actually set out coasters on all tables in the livin’ room when I have company. No matter where one sits, there is a coaster right there on which to set one’s drink. Actually some of 'em are ashtrays. Since I don’t smoke now and never did in da cave anyways, those big heavy ashtrays are meant to be coasters. They’re great for things like coffee mugs. I have trained folks who come around often that they are indeed to be used as coasters. First timers get the explanation re ashtray/coasters. Still, civilized folk should know to use or ask for a coaster. I agree we need a hissy fit smiley. We should start a campaign!

Weather thingy says greater than 50 percent chance of rain and tstorms tonight. It probably will since I have to be out and about for a bit this evenin’.

Ok, back to irk now.

Later Y’all!

I was actually considering starting it with stories and pictures from the Arkansas journey we just returned from last night. But then my body said to me “hey loser, you just spent 5 days driving 1800 miles, getting up early, running around, drinking in the sun, staying up late and repeating as necessary, why don’t you just go to sleep for the next 13 hours”.

So I did. Pics and stories later, like maybe this afternoon.

Hey all, it’s spring here, complete with a lot of rain. My apple trees are budding, and I have discovered a peony in one of the flower beds. One of the fun things about moving into a new house in the winter is finding out what the previous owner has planted once the season changes. There is also lavender, a small (I believe red) rose, some azaleas and a couple of rhododendrons. A few narcissus are blooming and some other bulb are putting forth growth. I am going to mostly do flower pots on the deck while I find out just what was previously planted before I begin revamping the beds and begin planting perennials.

We had king crab for dinner last night, just steamed crab with a salad on the side. My sister and a friend were over and I had to teach my friend how to get into the crab legs! It was delicious, and it’s fun to share. I have a side of smoked red salmon in the fridge that I will slice up and put out for a snack later this afternoon.

Tea is calling me (the drink, not my granddaughter!) so I will say happy Monday to everyone.

It’s a good day!

Did it fly faster after the caffeine bath?

I got less than nuthin’
Have a good week, all.
