A Great Big, Beautiful MMP!

OMG! I forgot two of the most important smile generators:
Family and Friends

Did you conduct any lab work to test your theories?

I am smiling after a long and busy day at the library. Dayum, I like it there!

What else makes me smile:

warm chocolate chip cookies that I have made–I enjoy eating them and watching others in enjoy them.

when something I’ve planted does well.

Captain James T Kirk

Aragorn

That someone would actually decide to make a tea cozy look like a monster. (and I don’t have a link to your blog–we want pics!)

Well, duh, it’s been done. Every .50 cal firearm in existence is spring powered. It’s what makes that little pin hit the primer.

The thought of my friend’s birthday today is definitely making me smile. It’ll be nice to get together and unwind - it’s so hard to get together nowadays.

The boyfriend made me smile last night when he caught me snuggling my only stuffed animal (a blue cow, long story) and then proceeded to yank it out of my arms, glare at it sternly, and growl, “I WARNED YOU!” before flinging it against the wall. It’s silly but it still makes me laugh.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Finally, an opportunity to use that smiley the way it was meant to be used!

Things that make me smile:

My kids.

Listening to and participating in the repartee between my kids, husband and I.

My husband.

Mt. Rainier standing out in all her glory on a beautiful sunny day.

My friends and the warmth and love they exude.

The Mumpers.

It was Monday, that’s all I’ve got to say about that. I’m already looking forward to Friday.

What does he have against blue cows?

I guess we’re getting car for my son tomorrow. He and Mr. Taters drove up to Renton (just south of Seattle) to look at it and test drive it. It’s 1997 Nissan Altima and we’re getting it for $1600.00. It looks fairly decent in and out and runs well.

The owner’s wife lost her job and they can’t afford to keep it anymore.:frowning:

I haven’t seen it yet, except for on Craigslist. Since my son isn’t licensed yet, I have to drive up there after work with Mr. Taters so we can pick it up.

I hope we make it home without being stopped because the tabs are expired. It’s a bit of a drive.

I guess we’ll have take care of getting the tabs and title transfer on Thursday, because my son works Wednesday. I’m fairly certain we can transfer title on-line, but I’ll have to check and make sure. The tabs, though, we’ll have to take care of in person just because we want it legal. I want him to practice driving that car so when he takes his test for his license I want him to use that car.

I think I’m going to kick back and watch a little boob tube.

What makes me smile? Definitely my kids, even if they are both adults now. And puppies and kitties.

I am all totally off-schedule, which is why I’m up posting at 3:16 am. I gotta go to work today too, so I’m wishing good thoughts and sending gentle hugs to all who need them (Gotti, so sorry for your losses!), as well as wishing everyone an (early?) happy Tuesday.

That’s the way I feel about winning a big one in the lottery. I wouldn’t want to stop working, but it would be nice to know I don’t need to.

Doggio, I’ve seen Coors and Bud in the supermarket. It’s about the last thing I’d try if I could drink beer more than once a year. Judas? Sure. Various brands from Trapa convents all over Europe? Sign me up. La cuvée des trolls? I’ve got a bottle at home just cos I like the bottle, same for Delirium Tremens. Coors? I suffer from perma-thirst but what can I say, there’s got to be better options.

{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}} and a handy trout for rigs, for having a brother who either is a selfish git or is currently selfishly-gitted.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. Thus beginneth my new workweek. Woo and hoo.

Oh well, guess I need some sort of brekkie and to commence work purtification.

Happy Tuesday!

And a Happy Twoday to you as well, ursine one

I’ve just been to my shortest doctor’s visit ever. Got bloodwork done last week to check for diabetes (permathirsty and I get sleepy from eating too many carbs in one seating); it’s all good and shiny and purdy.

Today I have two hours of class in one end of the campus, immediately followed by one hour at the other end. Does hurrying between classes count as exercise?

Finally up…talked to hubby first thing then took my sick behind back to bed for 4 hours. I am beginning to think it is actually the flu…urgh. I don’t get the flu dammit only bad colds grrrrrr…I will not let it win!

But man I could go back to bed right now…

Right I will download me e-mail and see which part of the universe has caved in today.

I am up too early today. But we have a breakfast for 30 people and you just can’t talk them into eating it at 1 in the afternoon! Actually, this is going to be one of our best days in a long time. We also have 3 lunches and 1 dinner, too.

I’m sure I had more to say, but it’s too early to remember what it was.

Up, caffeinated, off to all day meeting in Hickory, N.C.

Feel better soon, mmmmm.

My blog’s here.
Morning. I think things are a little better.

Blurf. Brekkies et, so the highlight of my morning has now passed…

Another exciting day in Cubeville.

I just beat the pouring rain! We’re getting a front in! Yay for cooler temperatures and low humidity! This is my favorite time of year.

{{{ems}}} - I hope you feel better soon!

Mawnin’ Mumpers! I thought I’d be really tahrd after staying up to watch the season premier of Heros but I’m not. Maybe the thyroid med is actually starting to kick in!

My condolences, gotti. Feel better soon, mmmmmms.

I am seeing a pattern here. It appears the most-mentioned happiness makers for us are our pets. Interesting.

Think I’ll go see what Don Juanna has planned for today.
