TCM is showing A Guy Named Joe, starring Spencer Tracy and Irene Dunne, on Thursday, 12:00 AM Eastern/9:00 PM Pacific.
I mentioned it in this thread, as Always is a remake of it.
Definitely worth a look!
I love this movie. Since this version is set in the middle of WWI, I find it more poignant than the remake.
I also find it bizarrely implausible when
Irene Dunne bombs the Japanese munitions depot all by herself
but it’s still my favorite part!
