Okay, this was posted on Friday and somehow I don’t think Miss LiLi was planning on keeping a sponge cake with fruit hanging about for days. Therefore:

Has anybody here ever asked what the square footage of a hotel room is when you want to reserve one? And if you have, could you tell me why? I can see wondering about the general size, whether it’s too small for you or something, but not the exact square footage.

I haven’t been posting very much this weekend. And I haven’t been all that busy - just normal chores. I took Ernie to the groomer’s this morning - he looks so keyooote!
Mr Rebo finished all the siding and painting of siding and trim too! The doorway looks great!

I can’t believe y’all are cold already - we’ve barely had one cool front (highs in the 80’sF, low’s in the 60’s.) It’s just nice to be able to leave the back door open for a couple of hours in the morning! October and November are awesome here. Tanks and shorts and flip-flops. And lawn mowing!
I’m making baby back ribs, cole slaw, corn on the cob, and ranch beans for supper. Cherry pie or banana bread for dessert. It’s smelling good in the neighborhood… 
I agree Rebo. I’m still wearin’ short sleeved shirts to work and shorts around da cave.
I decided a PB&J and a glass of milk would be dindin. I’m still kinda full from brunch.
I did laundry and vacuumed. That’s enough productivity for one day.

I might be wrong, but I’m about 99% sure that LiLi’s birthday is Oct 6th, which is tomorrow. (the only reason I’m not absolutely sure is that within our group of friends in high school, there were three birthdays in the first week of October and I might have mixed up her date with someone else’s).
snowbunny, I know I’ve asked about the approximate size of a hotel room before… but that’s because a couple of friends and I were travelling to NYC, which is notorious for having exceptionally small hotel rooms, and we wanted to make sure that the room was big enough to hold three girls plus bags. Exact square footage seems a little… odd… though.

I noticed that this morning when I got up to pee at 0730 that it was still very dark–ze wintair, eet eez comink, eek!
Back home! Actually, we’ve been back for about 90 minutes. I slapped some paint on the door frames - tomorrow we can install the doors - yay! We spent about an hour in Ikea and didn’t spend too much money. We got some lifts for our bed so we can store crap under it. I also got a small grater. **FCD **got a desk lamp for work. And we looked at a lot of cool stuff - good thing that store isn’t closer to us.
Then we met Mom at Bonefish Grill and had a lovely lunch. She had a coupon for a free sampler appetizer, which was really yum! So we visited with her for about an hour. Then we went to Home Depot, looking for some particular storage bins which they didn’t have. Then we stopped at McKay’s for some bananas for a banoffee, plus some ice cream for me. Now we’re home. Thus endeth my weekend. Except for having some ice cream in a little bit.
Life is good.
We’ve just returned from Borders and Best Buy. I had a $50.00 gift card for Borders that I’d received for Christmas, and I figured it was high time I use it.
Mr. Taters had a $25.00 gift card for Best Buy that needed using as well.
We drove on down to Borders where I picked up a couple of books and the hubby picked up a book for himself, our daughter, and a CD. Total damage out of pocket; thirty bucks.
After that, it was on to Best Buy where I picked up some replacement ear buds for my i-Pod and the hubby got a game. Total damage out of pocket; forty odd bucks.
I kind want to get crackin’ on one of my books, and I just may do so now.
I feel compelled to once again warn y’all to stay away from hulu. It is teh evil!
And now, I’m goin’ back to hulu.
Silly swampy! hulu is a very nice place. It is hardly addictive at all. I blame it for breaking my laptop.
I rounded up all the recycling, watered plants, collected twigs (still left from the storm) from under the crabapple trees, swept, put away clean clothes, cleaned the bathroom, and…something else I’m forgetting…all this afternoon. I feel accomplished.
I’m about to go off to get churchified. Figured I’d get everything done while there was daylight and then go off to church.
Wish Monday wasn’t coming up so soon, but…at least next week is a long weekend. Yay!

Well, here it is Sunday night, and it’s back to work tomorrow.
I see quick reply is gone again–maybe it’s why the board was so very SLOW earlier. And darn, I didn’t get a chance to try it out!
It’s been such beautiful weather; I love this sort of weather where it goes into the 50s at night, then maybe low 70s during the day. It won’t last long, though, so I’m going to enjoy it while I can.
I’ve just been totally lazy all weekend long. Which means that I’ve still got grocery shopping to do! laughs That’s okay, though, because I’m going to hit the grocery store on Tuesday, after I go to the local farmer’s market. I also want to go to the Aldi store near me; may do that tomorrow on the way home from work.
ETA: Woo hoo - first on 8! 
I got to play with the TINIEST PUPPY IN THE WORLD today. She is a six-week-old longhair dachshund and she is ADORABLE. She looks like a wind-up toy.
SO CUTE
Where I live, the HIGHS are in the 50s and the lows are near or below freezing. I love this sort of weather.
Spaz, dear…pic? Hmm? Well? That sounds like a disturblingly cute puppy, I’m quite sure many of us would like to see her!
Puppy? Pictures are very important, yes?
Hard drive on dinosaur is making noise again. Hopefully it’ll survive until the laptop is fixed…
