Hmm. I tried two different pix, and my closest match is Meryl Streep, who is older than my mother. The second? Eddie Murphy. Why yes, those two DO look a lot alike, don’t they? And judging by the amount of Hispanic women who resemble me, my family isn’t as Swedish as we say we are.
Having done a bunch of photos, it seems to be picking celebrities based more on their pose in the photograph than their actual facial features. I ran six photos and didn’t get the same person twice. Although, evidently I look very Asian…
After poking around with it, I’ve concluded that instead of “celebrity lookalikes”, this feature could more accurately be called “celebrities making the same expression as you”. Five different pictures of me produced exactly one common match between any two, and that was Adrien Brody, who looks nothing like me but tends to do a similar thing with his eyebrows in angle photos.

Some of my “matches” included Jesse Jackson, Al Pacino, John Ritter. None of whom really look like me.

I agree. I ran a second photo (with a rather different pose), and my Collage contained none of the celebrities who were matches in the first attempt.

Definitely not very discriminating. I ran two almost identical pictures which were even taken at about the same time. The first list included Kim Jong Il, Suharto, Dustin Hoffman, Carl Perkins, Ray Romano, and Peter Ustinov. The second included Mel Gibson, Stan Lee, Hulk Hogan, Donald Rumsfeld, Water Mondale, and Tim McGraw.

I tried two different photos, both of which it thinks resemble Katie Holmes, Laura Bush, Gloria Estefan, and a young Fred Savage, among others. One of the photos turned up a teenaged Judy Garland, and that photo looked a LOT like the grandmother I take after. I really don’t look like any of those people though.

With a photo of my (very female) profile, my closest matches were all male and it is a tie between Charles Manson and Jim Henderson, Muppet creator.
When I submitted a picture en face, the matches were all female and it was a close tie between Laura Bush and Dakota Fanning. The only thing those pictures had in common was a smile showing teeth.
I can’t seem to link to the profiles, though.
