That link is NSFW.
Eh? Looks fine to me. Nothing but an inoffensive body of text. Mebbe you got a pop-up that was blocked on my 'puter?
How? No pictures–is the subject matter inappropriate?
I got a Access Denied screen. There’s doesn’t have to be pron or anything to trip filters; they have lists of sites that they deem inappropriate. They also filter some sites that cannot possibly be work-related, etc., like Lottery sites and some entertainment sites. I have no way of knowing what might have tripped it. I work as a contractor for a Gov. agency, they tend to have some pretty draconian filtering here. For instance, I cannot access my Yahoo mail account, or any other personal email account.
Well . . . just because “they” filter the site so local users cannot access it, doesn’t mean it’s “unsafe” for work. Even the homepage, www.hoboes.com seems pretty innocuous to me.
Link not offensive to me either.
I just tried the hoboes.com link, and indeed it got the “Access Denied” page. Don’t know why. I admit that I seem to be working for the Taliban, though.
SurfControl. The standard install filters out everything that makes the internet worthwhile. When I was security manager at the agency I work for I continually tried to ease the blocks but it is a pain in the ass. Either users have to complain about the sites they think they should be able to access or you have to monitor the blockages to see what people are after. The standard install even blocks all the banking sites. Personally I think it enhances productivity if employees can do their banking online.
