To anyone who saw or is going to see A.I.:
Was that Steven Speilberg himself playing the doctor in the cryogenics hospital?
I thought it was him, with hair trimmed short, but my friend insists that it was NOT him–“he’s not bald,” says my friend, but I think if you clip his hair down a bit, that’s what you’ll get.
I didn’t stay for all the credits (left the theater at 3:45 AM), so if anyone out ther can keep their eyes peeled (or did keep their eyes peeled), I’d appreciate it.
Nope–definitely not Spielberg. Sorry. We saw it last night.

His name is Michael Mantell and he’s not listed on the A.I. cast list on the IMDB yet (though most of the small bit parts aren’t either). Here’s the Variety review that mentions him.
