A “survey” from WINRED floated up against my spam filter, and I decided to have a little fun with them:
Who are YOU going to vote for, friend: President Trump or Kamala Harris?
So I filled out their silly questions & checked “No, I cannot contribute at this time.” A box popped up showing GooglePay had been charged $0.00. Great!
Except one second later I got a text from my MasterCard showing a $100 payment to WINRED:
“Citi Alert: Card ending in ____ was not present for a $100.00 transaction at WINRED* NRSC 5C35”
Oh, those dirty, dirty dogs! [The charge has already been disputed – they won’t get a dime from me]
Regardless, I can’t imagine giving out my credit card info just to mess with a survey. On the rare occasions that I do want to do something like that, I’ll stop if they even require an email address.

Are you sure it’s not just a hold on the card?[/quote]
I guess I’ll find out if/when it posts.
I acknowledge that was a stupid thing to do. But I wonder how many of the MAGA faithful thought they were donating $5 or $8 and aren’t going to remember it when they get their credit card bills and are charged the “default” $100.
