A little late but... Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is a spectactular game.

Read the OP again. He isn’t finished.

ARGH!!
:frowning:

Please.

No.

Spoilers.

Guess I should have said something at the begining.

:frowning:

Well, I feel validated by THAT reaction! :dubious:

Well, crap.

I apologize profusely to you, Stinkpalm, and I’ll bow out of this conversation since it’s obvious I don’t know where to draw the line.

Obviously some people weren’t reading closely. :stuck_out_tongue:

Play the game. It’s worth it.

Don’t feel too bad.

FTR, I was already pretty sure that somehow, someway Revan was around somewhere because they tell you so many different times that Revan is dead that he must actually be alive if they are going to go to such great lengths to “remind you” that he’s dead.

And I figured that darkness was in the future because of the title of the sequal.

So no hard feelings, just leave the details out of this thread please!

My policy regarding games I haven’t played, movies I haven’t seen, and books I haven’t read is to ASSUME there are going to be spoilers in EVERY thread about that movie/game/book. Even if they aren’t boxed. Even if they aren’t mentioned in the title. Even if someone asks that they not be included in the thread. Therefore I don’t open or start any threads about that topic. Now when people blindside you with, say, a Discworld spoiler in a Star Wars thread, that’s when I get mad.

Remember also that there aren’t universal guidelines on what is and isn’t a “spoiler”. A friend of mine recently told me some key details about a movie I was about to watch even after I literally told him “SHUT UP!” several times. After he blurted it out and I tried to explain to him how it might lessen my enjoyment of the movie he was completely dumbfounded. He couldn’t comprehend the concept of a spoiler outside of huge twist-endings a la The Sixth Sense and Empire Strikes Back.

This isn’t supposed to sound rude, I’m just trying to save you some grief in the future.

I have heard from several different sources that there are a set of questions or tasks in the beginning that gather information on how you played the first game - if you were male/female, light/dark, who died, etc…
Don’t hold me to that though. I was busy playing Halo 2 and haven’t been watching the KOTOR II news as closely as I was before.
There’s a nice preview over at Gamespot.

I meant to add, the fact that this game is made by Black Isle (now Obsidian) is reason enough to buy it. They’ve produced some of the greatest RPGs of all time in Planescape: Torment and Fallout 2 as well as the Baldur’s Gate games in conjunction with Bioware.
If you have a hankerin’ for another Bioware game, then Jade Empire will be released soon. It’s basically KOTOR with Kung-Fu, and the inital buzz has been very positive.

There’s an echo in here… echo in here… echo… echo…

Btw, Black Isle didn’t have anything to do with Baldur’s Gate 1 or 2 other than publishing them.

Sorry, I skimmed.

You’re right. They are listed as co-publisher for Baldur’s Gate 2, and developer for both the BG: Dark Alliance games.

Here are the breakdowns:
