A little movie ID help, please

OK, I saw this film one time only on TV when I maybe 13 or so, so quite a while back, and have never run across it again.

Made in the mid-50s, maybe; bears a superficial resemblance to the The Wages of Fear, but made in the USA. Definitely not Sorcerer, William Freidkin’s remake of TWoF. Concerns a group of rough, tough truckers who are transporting some kind of volatile, corrosive rocket fuel in tankers over dangerous mountain roads. I recall one scene where some of the cargo leaks out of a valve on the truck and burns a guy’s arm. Unfortunately, I remember little else, including the title and/or names of any of the actors. Anyone have any idea what film this is?

If you were a kid, are you sure it wasn’t The Wages of Fear dubbed into English? I haven’t been able to turn anything up in my searches…

Joe

I put “movie,” “rocket fuel,” and “truckers” into Google and the second item to come up was the 1958 movie Violent Road.

Violent Road! I’m pretty sure that’s it. It seems to be a lost film, for some reason. The IMDB listing only seems to have two comments attached, and one of them mentions they last saw it twenty years ago.

Thanks.
