One of my favorite high school memories was ditching school with friends to go see a free live show in Laguna Beach with the Dead Milkmen. They put on a great show.
Poor retards have nobody to drive them to the zoo anymore.

The Milkmen have always been huge in my own warped little musical universe. This news saddens me profoundly. Shit.

I all but grew up with the Dead Milkmen. There’s few bands I can truly say I listened to them as they learned to play their instruments over the years. Last time I saw any of them in concert (Joe and Rodney in different bands) their technical skills had been well honed.
I had always kinda hoped for a reunion, the members of the DM always remained good friends with each other.
Now…

I grew up with the Milkmen too… have fond memories of 4-H trips (I was a horse kid nerd) with Beezlebubba blasting- my friend’s dad who was driving was partially deaf and very tolerant so that was a good thing.
I never, ever get tired of them :(.
One of my biggest regrets of my past long term relationship (aside from the alcoholism and unemployment issues-his not mine) was that I didn’t go to the last Las Vegas Dead Milkmen concert because my ex had a band gig the same night (in the middle of the desert with a bunch of hippies- gave me a strong urge to drink bleach with a Georgia peach 
)
After a week of silence (as compared to his normally daily entries) Rodney Anonymous has finally made a comment about Dave’s death.
