Watched this movie a few days ago and enjoyed it (though the series could have ended nicely with MI3).

There is one scene in particular where they are trying to infiltrate the Kremlin. The female agent is outside in Red Square where she releases a radio-controlled red balloon.

Was this a subtle reference to the famous Cold War song ‘99 Red Balloons’ by Nena?

Or am I giving the film-makers too much credit? :smiley:
