Er, just so you can be aware, you’re also trying to argue that I’m horribly wrong for stating that you’re alleging you’ve been accused of being an anti-Semite in this thread. Of course, you still haven’t and your apparent desire to claim victim status for a charge which was not leveled at you is… odd.
Nope, you still haven’t shown anything I’ve actually ignored. You’re now actually claiming that because I didn’t credit you with (no doubt) great progressiveness for saying that you’d also object to Brits commemorating non-Olympic-Athletes-Butchered-At-The-Olympics-In-The-Olympic-Village. Of course, that’s irrelevant to your inconsistent, sloppily reasoned denial that Israeli Olympians, killed at the Olympics itself, should have a moment of silence in the opening of the Games. Your sloppy reasoning included but was not limited to claims that, gee, other people who you totally don’t agree with would object to Israel’s athletes having a moment of silence, therefore it’s political only because it’s Israel, therefore you just can’t support it. You also claimed that if they’d held a moment of silence at that immediate games 40 years ago, well, that too would be okay but darn they missed their chance. Gee willickers, aww shucks, and various assorted ‘ah well, I really would have liked to support that, darn it, darn it all to heck!’ appended to your various arguments. .
Of course, you also object to the only Olympians in history who were butchered at the Olympics in the Olympic village receiving a moment of silence only because they’re Israelis, and you regretfully inform us that it’s because some people (not you, not you!) believe that Israel is uncivilized and an apartheid nation. So gee gosh willickers, it’s not you that’s making it political. We can’t memorialize athletes because other people (who you say you don’t agree with anyways) are being unreasonable about it because the Olympic athletes killed at the Olympics happen to have been Israelis. *And what’s less ‘playing politics’ than blocking a tribute to certain athletes because of their country of origin? Eh, eh? * Your obfuscation about people who aren’t Olympians and who weren’t killed at the Olympics is, I’m sure, a very nice diversion and all.
Yes, which as we’ve reviewed, is fictional. Not only have I not said any such thing in this thread (and naturally, you’re 100% unable to cite any such statement), I actually specifically said that the issue was condoning or supporting anti-Israel bigotry and not anti-Semitism. Not only did I do that, I just cited that statement explicitly. Your inaccurate refrain of statements and claims that you’re being persecuted when you aren’t casts doubt on the basic veracity of any argument you might make. Followed up by your denials that you’ve ever claimed anybody said, what’s that… oh yeah, that “you have an issue with Jewish people”?
It makes it very obvious that claiming persecution that doesn’t exist and then angry denials that you’ve made any such claims is, in fact, a feature and not a bug in your argument.
What you actually wrote?
What you just wrote was that I tried to "claim that it is instead an issue [you] have with Jewish people. " And in direct response to one of my statements , you also said “From that I’ll leave it to the reader to decide if it is all “crocodile-tears-claims” and/or just me hating The Joos.” Hell, right after your denial that you’re even saying I’ve called you an anti-Semite, literally right after, you go on to claim that I’ve said your position “is about feelings towards the Jews”.
You’re unable to keep your story straight from one bit to the next.
So, yah, your claims about being persecuted for being called an anti-semite in this thread and your claims of being persecuted because dude you sooooo never said you’d been called an anti-Semite in this thread… well, let’s just say that you do not, in fact, suffer from such an overabundance of persecution.
As for your annoyance that your statement that other people don’t want Israeli athletes memorialized because they think that Israel is an uncivilized Apartheid State while you’ve only posted in support of Israel being an Apartheid State?
Kay.
