She that was once Black12 is now Sea Sloth, thanks to Ms. TubaDiva and her magic moderator wand.
And now that I have your attention I would like to ask an extremely inconsequential question. Does anyone else experience intolerably hot feet when trying to go to sleep? Every night I have to wrap an ice pack in a dish towel and place it under the covers at the foot of my bed. Please tell me this isn’t indicative of some sort of terminal illness, voodoo magic, or foot shame!
I sleep with my feet out of the covers, the rest of body covered by blankets except for my head. Never really thought about why, but I imagine my feet are too warm otherwise. My hubby always has his feet out too.
You know, KimKatt, I tried this method and found that even the sheet UNDER my feet became too hot. My feet are actually hot to the touch but not sweaty (thankfully). Even if my feet have been under the covers while I’ve been reading, the temp rise doesn’t happen until I turn out the light. Psychosomatic?
I always sleep with my feet out of the covers and with a fan blowing cool air over them. Even when I’m so cold that I need 2 or 3 blankets I still stick my feet out.
Tally, you were the one who inspired me to change my silly user name in the first place when you switched from Chrisbar. Thank you for enlightening me on TubaDiva’s amazing supernatural powers.
Rocking chair, this used to be my problem as well. How my feet went from terminally frozen to HOT HOT HOT I don’t know. There was never an in-between stage.
Scotti, BurnMeUp may or may not get me hot and bothered - I couldn’t possibly reveal.
BTW, I picked Sea because I’m studying marine biology and Sloth because it’s the animal I most resemble and venerate. I figure it’s a little late to revive the “How did you pick your user name?” thread.
