A mundane poll: Where is your toilet paper roll relative to your toilet?

In the same room.

Upstairs, the dispender is witin easy reach to the right, and downstairs, it’s on the left. However, the three of us can be extremely lazy, so the roll is usually loose on the counter or floor in front of us. Once in a while, it’s even on the tank behind us.

On the same wall as the toilet, to the right. Not too much of a contortion to get some paper.

My toilet’s in the space between the tub and the counter. The TP roll is in the bottom drawer under the counter. The roll holder is empty.
I have two cats.

i have a bidet.

:stuck_out_tongue:

On the toilet tank. There is no holder installed in our washroom (though there is evidence that the wall to the left, the back of the washroom door, and the wall in front of the toilet were all tried at some point in the past, and were all deemed unsuitable). There just isn’t a good place for it, so we just leave the roll on the tank.

We tried leaving it on the counter edge, but either it would accidentally get splashed when we were using the sink or the cat would send it flying as she scrambled onto the counter to try and get a drink from the running tap. She’s obsessed with tap water, it’s a horrible addiction. She’ll actually stand in front of the washroom and meow until we come see her, and then she’ll promptly jump onto the counter and give us dirty looks until we turn on the tap.

Closed up in the medicine cabinet. It’s still within arm’s reach of the toilet, but the cabinet can be closed to keep the cats’ temptation to a minimum. They actually ripped the holder off of the wall last year.

The hanger resides to the left of the tank but is primarily unused. Mostly I put it on the back of the tank or on the floor.

Stupidly located.
My apartment replaced the old toilets (which were back against the wall) with new, more environtmentally friendly ones (a few inches farther forward). The toilet paper used to be to the left. Now it’s a few inches behind on the left side, and requires minor contortion to reach.

The last two places I’ve lived had odd bathrooms, and the dispenser was behind the toilet to the right, requiring one to stand up to get to the paper. So we leave it on the counter.

The dispenser is to the rear and right of the toilet - but the roll just sits on it vertically.

It is much quicker and more efficient to grab the roll with one hand and wrap it around the other, than to yank at it haphazardly as it sits on the dispenser.

In my bathroom, the dispenser is just to the left. In the downstairs bathroom, it is built into a partition wall to the right and is situated high up…head level when you are sitting down. My dad built the house, so he is to blame. But neither holder falls off the wall. which is a big change from the last four places I’ve lived.
