A Mythbusters question

I was watching a rerun of a Mythbusters episode and I noticed something unusual.

It was the episode where they’re testing whether a motorcyclist could be killed by colliding with a bug in flight.

The unusual thing I noticed was that there were several shots where you could clearly see the logo for Tori’s motorcycle (it’s a Victory). The producers are usually fanatical about covering over or blurring out any logos. They even did it in this episode in a background film about some bikers, where they blurred out the logos on their motocycles.

So why did they let these logos slip through?

It appears that Polaris Industries loaned the show the motorcycle/sidecar used.

So it was just normal product placement. Victory also apparently donated a helmet because you can see their logo on the helmet Tori wore.

“Hey guys, I just scored a major coup. I loaned a bike and sidecar to Mythbusters!
Millions of viewers will see our logo!”

Mythbusters*? Isn’t that the show where they blow up everything?"

“Uhhhh…” :smack:
