so I loaned a friend of mine A book and a couple weeks later he came up with the following rules (sort of, we worked on them a bunch to fine tune things)
players play against the table not each other.
Each player takes 2 shots regardless of how many balls they sink (or don’t)
balls are to be taken down in descending order starting with the 1, then 2, then 3, and so on.
slop not only counts it is encouraged. sink everything you can while trying to drop those balls, the early ones are a bitch, its hard to drop the 1 ball when there are 15 more in the way.
in the event of a scratch the cue ball is placed in the kitchen Farthest from the target ball. (I hope this makes sense)
Scoring and up to you to fine tune. the rule we came up with is 30 shots to sink the 15 balls. (note we have never actually pulled this off, so you might go with 40 or more, if you are really good lower the total)
the game turns out to be a great trainer, you are now forced to (or at least should) put some serious thought into where you leave that cue ball for your partners next shot.
