A Nice Little Holiday Story

This is sort of glurgy, but it’s true: it happened to my Mom the day before Thanksgiving. She asked me to share it - probably not realizing how far my reach actually can go (she doesn’t quite get the internet yet). Anyway, I’m sharing it because it’s a nice story, and if it helps pay it forward, I’m all good with that.

(None of the local newspapers would publish it, because my mom insisted on remaining anonymous, but one of the reporters she spoke to did blog it. She was disappointed until I explained what a blog was.)

That was a day making story, thank you very much for it.

A great story. I wish I hadn’t read it in the middle of a meeting 'cause now I have to lie and say I have something in my eye…

I’m just gonna throw this out there, if you have a paypal account I would send a little money along to you for her to use for food for her Red Cross drive.

Theres so much crap going on in the world its nice to hear about something like this ,it restores your faith in humankind.

Wonderful story, Indyellen. Thanks so much for sharing it!

Very nice. I love to do things for strangers, but I’m not wealthy enough to buy a new battery for someone. I will find something nice to do for someone, though. In addition to getting an angel from the angel tree at the local restaurant.

It’s a wonderful life!

Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back; I’m having issues with my paypal account. Anyway, my suggestion would be to make a donation to a local Red Cross in your area and pay it forward that way.

But I did tell Mom of your offer and she was very pleasantly surprised. She doesn’t quite get this intarwebs thing.

Awesome story. Thank you.

We’ve got the office decorated for all of the December holidays, including Boxing Day. We have a box for the sole purpose of food donations. Decorative and charitable!

OK, I will do so.

What a great story!
Thank you for sharing!

Score one for humanity!
