Meaning of the Number 70 in the Bible

Oddly , they say the Daniel 9:24 verse says 490 years, but maybe they mixed up the meaning with the Mathew 18:22 ??

But as for Daniel 9:24, many references say it says 70 sevens, which is idiom for 70 weeks

As a lousy analogy, “four score and seven”

“Four score and seven” doesn’t mean anything without the explanation that we are talking about years.

“Four score sevens” with no reference to years could be understood to mean 7*20.

It’s very obviously 4x20 plus 7, because otherwise Lincoln would have said “…four open bracket score and seven close bracket…” in his speech.

Obviously “four score” means “4” followed by “20”, Lincoln was a major stoner.

“Seven” was Lincoln’s compromise, originally he wanted to say “69” but people back then were too puritan so they changed the number to 70 but Lincoln misread the teleprompter and missed the 0. The rest is history.
