Allow me to explain. I lived in Ohio briefly. It is very cold there, with lots of snow. That’s -50 points right there. Y’all are not in the SEC, so that’s a -10. Y’all do start the son of Road Warrior Animal at linebacker, so that’s a +5. It’s virtually impossible to find grits up there, for -7. JSGoddess launched an unprovoked attack, with no prior history between us, for -10.
It makes me happy, and harms no one. I plan to keep it.
Well, maybe being from Chillicothe isn’t so bad. But I’m from Perry County. That’s bad. 
Quiddity, I really think that you are walking a fine line here. If you want the atmosphere on the board to be more pleasant, I would forget about some narrow definition of what constitutes a “personal attack,” and lead by example. If you don’t think it’s nice to throw rude names and accusations around, then don’t do it. It really doesn’t make sense to come into a thread, viciously rip apart several posters (even if you don’t specifically name them), and then claim that you are doing it to try to make the board a friendlier, nicer place.
I’ll also point out again that you are new, and it’s maybe not your place to come in and make pronouncements about what should be allowed, what shouldn’t be allowed, and make judgments about personal relationships and histories that have long been established here. I am not going to take anyone’s side, but you came in to the thread to criticize people for their treatment of Liberal, when you have no way of knowing if Liberal might have been one to start it, maybe years ago. Each thread here does not exist in a vacuum. (I also have no way of knowing, so I am not trying to throw Liberal under the bus…just trying to use this as an example where knowing the history of a situation might be a good thing before trying to get involved and take sides.)

Sorry, I guess I see it different as far as the humor. Not in this thread and not always by any stretch, but his ratings have made me laugh.
The first response to you by Oakminster was one I would assume was made in an attempt at self-depreciating humor, I used an ill-advise word that does not mean what I intended. I could also be wrong about the self-depreciating part from the later posts.
