Hi, lilbizkitbaby. Didn’t I tell you not to come back here until you were finished? From the looks of it you’ve got a lot of work to do, so hop to it! G’wan, geddoudahere.
Here lies Pierre de Fermat. Unfortunately, there is not enough room on this tombstone for a proper epitaph.
While:
- Maynard is a god
and
- A Perfect Circle is pretty damn good
I can’t help but say the whole project is NOTHING but a shameless way to take the money from your pocket and place it firmly in their pockets.
Being a musician, I understand the soul-yearning need for side projects. I’m in a metal band, and the other four guys think anything that doesn’t “rock” “sucks”. To fulfill my musical needs I must cheat on them.
A Perfect Circle sounds like Tool Jr. to me. Same type of dynamic metal that Tool plays, just not quite as good: This is not Maynard exploring new territory (unlike Clutch & their jazzy side project, The Bakerton Group).
The single has been out for two weeks, I’m sick of it already and the album’s not even in stores yet. To top it off, they’re touring with NIN???
Now, Maynard is AMAZING in concert, but their’s NO way I’m paying $48 to see him again when he’s belting out some Toolesque tunes and sharing the stage with that techno-poseur, Trent.
If I want to get raped by a bunch of men, I can do it for a lot less than $48.
Yet to be reconciled with the reality of the dark for a moment, I go on wandering from dream to dream.
its pretty good stuff… i love the drummer
but it sounds like tool pretty much… so i dont know if i will get it
i might see them if i get a chance
