I think I’d point out that Trump’s burned and abandoned every personal ally we’ve seen him have, and he’s done the same with the US international allies where he could. No concept of him being loyal to anything/anyone, so why would Israel be different?
I mean, if NATO’s in the crosshairs, what would make anyone think their relationship with the US would be safe from him?
This is a good point. Trump is tight with Netanyahu, and Bibi has done quite a bit lately (and in the past) against the Israeli people, including taking power away from the judiciary (calling them “reforms”) to make himself more powerful and to insulate himself against the consequences of the crimes he himself violated. Supporting both of these criminal politicians is to not support Israel or its people.

To the OP-- Jimmy Kimmel did “A Special Monologue for the Republican in Your Life” this past Tuesday. I thought it was a pretty compelling argument; delivered with a requisite amount of humor and sarcasm befitting of a talk show monologue, but making very salient points about how trump should not, by any means, be put back in the highest office in the land.
Of course, Jimmy is preaching to the choir with me, but maybe he’ll have some luck persuading your neighbor:
Holy crap. Thanks for sharing that - I sometimes catch bits and pieces of his monologues but I didn’t expect him to be as “from the heart” and sincere as he was.
