Dexter and Weeds
I wasn’t thinking of Extras, though glad you mentioned it. I was thinking of The Ricky Gervais Show, which is basically a cartoon drawn around a weekly audio podcast. It finished Season 1 not too long ago, and I think it’s coming back for at least another season.
I went with The Wire ( #1 for me ), Deadwood, Rome, The Sopranos, Carnivale,Weeds, Dexter and Band of Brothers.
Of the others Entourage isn’t my thing, Nurse Jackie is interesting but not quite compelling enough to be a favorite and John from Cincinnati was almost unwatchable IMHO. True Blood should be my thing, but isn’t quite - it may be that my mild dislike for the Stackhouse books have colored my impressions too much, but I only went about 2/3 through the first season. Flight of the Conchords I need to try. Hot lesbian action or not, The L-Word looks too soapy for my tastes ( that also started killing Big Love for me ). Generation Kill I think might actually irritate/depress me. The rest are completely off my radar.
If you’re going for completeness, there’s also Party Down, Gravity, and Dream On.
On reposting I would suggest listing them in alphabetical order.
Wow. You guys are mentioning shows that weren’t included in the Wiki articles. I had no idea there’d be so many!
