And it is about the radio show?
I want a movie about Lake Woebegone. And Robert Altman would be perfect to direct a Lake Woebegone movie.
Sigh.
It depends- a movie about Lake WOBEGON of the monologues would be cool. A movie about the LW of the book I might not bother with. (I’m assuming the monologues haven’t gotten as dark as the book-it’s been years since I listened to them.)
Altman is hit&miss for me. I think I’d prefer him on a radio-show-movie project than actually Lake Wobegon.
Saw this the other day looking at IMDB pipeline for 2005/06.
Until it comes out Im not going to worry about it. When I see a preview… and then if I can get to it…
I do like the casting- Kevin Kline, Lyle Lovett, Lily Tomlin, Meryl Streep, John C. Reilly, Maya Rudolph, and Lindsey Lohan as a character named “Annie Angels”.
I know nothing actual about this BUT I bet “Annie” is a sweet wholesome Gospel singer on stage & a foul-mouthed hard-drinking slut once behind the curtain.
Either that or she’s so sweet & wholesome 24/7 no one can stand her.
I like the movies in my head better. I will give it a pass.
