I understand that the National Park Service uses a “points” system, for deciding on new aplicants. In other words, suppose you apply for a position as a park ranger. Your application is evaluated using a system that scores you on the job requirements-like (as an example): undergarduate degree: 80 points for BS, 120 points for an MS…physical ability : under age 35-180 points, over 55, 25 points.
They add up your points score, and make offers to applicants who score above a certain point level.
My question: are the criteria secret? Is there a website where you can find the points required for every job?
Probably not, and for some jobs they may not have set criteria, may not make that information available, or may simply pick the top X% scores.
