OK… I’m moving from Crapville, IL to Chicago for college. I need help with THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION OF MY LIFE… what shoes should I bring along?
Flats or sneakers?
Platforms or heels?
I need ahem humble opinions on comfort, style, etc… you’re my only hope!
Oh, yeah. I’m 4’11" with size 6-6 1/2 feet, rather wide. I prefer wearing jeans and twill pants to anything else… I’m not sure what goes with my style of dress.
If you are buying ONE pair of shoes for college, get yourself a pair of covered, comfortable stylish shoes. You can try brands like Hush Puppies or Rockports. You definitely do NOT want heels. You’re going to college, not buying your post-college interview suit just yet.
There are a few stores that cater specifically for walking, like the Walking Store that you can look at. The main thing is you want comfort. And splurge a bit and don’t get the cheapest ones you can find; you want them to hold up.
