On a whim I recently picked up and read ‘Dancing With Bears’ by the above author, and I found it a fun read.
But there was one aspect of the story that was hinted at but not entirely clear, its set several hundred years after a Terminator style war between Humanity and AI’s which humanity seems to have won at the cost of the loss of much high-technology.
The way the machines/AI’s are depicted is pretty frikken creepy and I was wondering what the reason for the rebellion and enduring hatred of humanity was supposed to be, its suggest that they hate humanity for the very fact that they created them and existence itself is objectionable to them.
I’ve tried searching for more background to the novel via google but haven’t really come up with anything.
