Justin Bieber. Not my cuppa tea, but a lot of people think he’s sexy.
Yeah, that’s the one I immediately thought of, but I just couldn’t conjure up her name in the two second time limit.
That was the one I came up with, though it took me 4 seconds. I thought he was known for singing more than sexy … but I couldn’t name any of his songs.
BTW, the SPOILER box does NOT prevent the “hidden” text from appearing during mouse-over on the index page. Thus, I actually used slightly more than 4 seconds.
I wish I’d thought of Kate Upton!
Though she’s been famous so long I’d have figured her for her 30’s by now. Did she start modeling when she was 16 or something?
Or Lillian Gish? Gloria Swanson? Greta Garbo? Forever young!
I thought “Girls from Spring Breakers,” but only one of them is still in her 20s.
Margot Robbie for me. Also just under the wire at 29. She turns 30 in July. Ditto for Jennifer Lawrence, who turns 30 in August.
EDIT: Reading through the thread, the Hadid sisters, or the various Kardashian-linked spawn, would have been better choices. Weirdly, I thought Kate Upton was over 30.
Florence Pugh
Amber Heard
Elle Fanning
She was also good in dramatic roles. The first film I ever saw her in was Don’t Bother to Knock. Soooooo creepy. I was still a kid-- 11 or so, didn’t really know who she was, and identified most with the child in the film. Never really could think of her as sexy after that, until I saw photos of her in the Norma Jeane Baker days.
I was able to sputter out Selena Gomez’s name in just under 2 seconds. Now my wife’s giving me the side eye.
Miley Cyrus
I answered no, but honestly even if you’d simply asked my name I reckon I’d have wasted more than two seconds wondering if it was a trick question …
I blanked out. I thought of some names, but I got hung up because I couldn’t guess their ages. I’m turning 65 in April, and cheerfully admit that my interest in pop culture has evaporated; I’m content with my legacy dinosaur music and movies.
But I mentioned “Lizzo” because in recent years, I notice that showbiz celebrities leap from obscurity to Internet trash-tabloid and social-media fame overnight.
Suddenly this year, Lizzo! Lizzo wore a dress slit to the thigh at the Grammies; Lizzo threw shade on somebody; Lizzo gave a talk about diversity at some school.
Not knocking Lizzo, who is only a name and a series of sensational blurbs to me. I know she’s not the first “It Girl”, and she won’t be the last-- even if the terminology changes.
It took me at lest two seconds just to digest the question. So definitely a “nope” on my part. While I can think of some good-looking people, I can’t always be sure that they are in the right age bracket, and then there is the little question of “known most for their good looks.” OK, I’ll try some models, but I suspect that many of the famous ones are already over the age limit. All the names that I came up with, after quite a bit of thought, were people who are easy on the eye but seem to be good at acting, or singing, or whatever.
And Taylor Swift is 30? Jeez, time flies.
I marked Yes then searched for that person, only to find that she is 35! And I can’t change my answer to No, can I?
No. In my defense, I’m not sure I can come up with anyone’s name in two seconds or less anymore.
I said ‘Taylor Swift’, but I was wrong.
Missed it by two months.
Seriously.
At my age, anyone in their 20’s are my kids age. That’s not sexy, its…icky.
The mind automatically does an abhorrence pull back. That age group is more likely to induce an urge to change their diaper, at this point.
Harry Styles former member of One Direction.
Sorry. Lizzo is 31.
