Indeed. Glad to see there’s at least one other sane person here.
A: I’d give it a shot.
B: …how does that even work?
Neither is necessarily weird.
So I guess dipping cold hamburgers in sugar is out of the question?
What?
I’m hip to A or B.
I’ve eaten a lot worse than A. Another vote for B.
Is this any weirder than making a float with mint chocolate chip ice cream and black cherry soda? Cause my Dad did that once, and we’ve never let him forget at. At this point, I don’t even remember whether the story is true or apocryphal, but we still say it.
A. Sounds OK to me. I used to like combined chocolate and caramel milkshakes when I was a kid.
B. Is stupid. Even if there is no clean spoon available it would be better to “drink” the milk and cereal than use a fork. Of course if you are going to do that it is better to put the cereal and milk in a travel cup, then you can sip it while travelling to work and the milk stays cold.
A. is wierder, and that’s why.
Of course, this is from a guy who thinks mixing chocolate and fruit is something wierd and sinful that only a Frenchman would do.
A strikes me as stranger. And potentially gross. I like both carmel and mint ice cream, but my brain shies away from the thought of combining the two. Forks wouldn’t be ideal, but I suppose you could eat cereal with one…assuming you don’t stab the mini-wheat, but use it under it instead. And wear a bib.
However, neither sound as bad as what I thought of at lunch yesterday - chocolate covered bananas. blech.
Isn’t the weirdest thing asking this question in the first place?
Ha, my dad once made a smoothie from Apple Jacks and plums.
A sounds good. B sounds like a lot more work than cereal should be.
B only because I had to choose. Both seem OK to me. I’m actually thinking about A now except I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chocolate.
OK, so how about mint soy ice cream with carob chips with caramel on top? Not weird at all, right?
And I think I’ve done B before, so which to choose?
I guess it’ll have to be B.
Is this a trick question?
Considering they have things like wasabi flavored ice cream and corn flavored ice cream, I don’t think a little caramel is all that odd.
More than just a couple, I’m happy to note!
My wife does the ketchup on scrambled eggs thing. But only if I’m in a different county. She knows that if she tried it right in front of me I’d have to kill her.
Two more votes for A. Even my wife, who has some very strange tastes of her own (see above), took that one for weird.
Lucy
A is weirder. It just clashes…
Those Frosted mini-wheats suck up all the milk, so there’s none left in the bowl. And they are big enough to fit on either a spoon or a fork, so what’s it matter?
A. Caramel + Mint? Yikes! That and I dont put milk on my cereal…
B, definitely B (if I wanted to wear my food I would).
Hal you really don’t need to ask all of us what we think. Just tell your toddler that she can’t do either one.
Thank you very much for your answers, everyone. The explainations:
My wife will make up a bowl of cereal, but when she’s eating it she’s careful to scoop up as little milk as possible. The leftover milk gets dumped in the sink when she’s done (unless I’m in the room – why in the hell pour out perfectly good milk? Gimme!).
We recently found ourselves with every single spoon in the house in the dishwasher, so she hit on using a fork. Since then, she swears by the whole fork concept.
I suppose that if you’re actively trying to avoid eating the milk (then why the hell put it on in the first place?!?), then it makes sense. But the whole thing is, of course, insanely weird.
Oh, and caramel goes good on anything.
A is something I’ve never tried but wouldn’t mind trying.
B seems like the person is either under- or over-medicating.
