My cousin/neighbor here in South Carolina drove her brother to the eye doctor today for an outpatient cataract removal. (She was surprised that elective non-critical operations like that.) she said that in the waiting room, every other chair was covered over with paper to keep people from sitting too close to each other, and once you signed in you had to go sit in your car until a nurse came to get you.
The lil’wrekker had a similar experience at her allergy doctors clinic.
They texted her when to come to the door and she got sanitized, temped, and masked to go in and get her shot.
Another anecdote from the same relative:
A friend of hers has a “special needs” daughter in her 20s that developed symptoms that may be corona or may be related to a pre-existing health issue. The daughter is in the hospital, and the mother is not allowed to leave the hospital. When they bring food for the daughter or mother, the mother must put on protective equipment/clothing before hospital staff will come in the room.
