two or more grow back in it’s place?
Cheers.
Engine.
What makes you think this is so? Is this question related to the myth that shaving hair makes it grow back thicker?
Not funny or true enough to be a Seinfeld conundrum.
If pulling out one hair results in two or more replacing it, we’ve found the cure for baldness.
Actually not funny or true at all.
It was on Seinfeld, after Seinfeld plucked out a nosehair, two grew back… at least I think it was Seinfeld… some other American comedy?
After waxing, I definitely get two hairs growing back sometimes… and the more I wax, the more often it happens. Nothing to do with shaving.
And you all thought that spontaneous generation wasn’t possible!
It’s my understanding that a single hair follicle can produce only a single hair, and that there’s absolutely nothing that can produce more hair follicles.
I get multiple beard hairs emerging from the same pores along my jaw line and it is in this area that I most often have to pluck out ingrowing or otherwise mutant bristles (like those really dark, waxy, thick ones). What I can’t say for sure though, is whether the plucking has cause the multiple hairs or whether the plucking is merely necessitated by them.
That’s the situation I have.
