Do you have weird growing body hair?

I do. Hair likes to grow on the slightly bulbous part of my nose. That’s okay, I have seen it on others. The older get the more of it there seems.

The one I haven’t noticed on others is I have a single hair that grows upwards out the top of each ear lobe. Like antennae or something. Have to remember to cut that back every week or so.

Got any strange stuff happening?

Most of my eyebrow hairs are well behaved. They grow to a reasonable length, they stop growing, they fall out, they get replaced. But for the last five years or so, I’ve had 3 or 4 hairs on each brow that just keep growing and growing like the hairs on top of my head. If I didn’t trim them regularly they’d probably be down to my waist by now.

I have one single hair that seemingly overnight springs out of my right areola every once in a while. Kind of gross and funny at the same time.

I once noticed a single hair on my chin that I’m pretty sure was actually not a single hair. it appeared to be the fusion of three or four hairs; it was extremely thick and rigid, like the bristle of a toothbrush. I ended up yanking it out with tweezers just to marvel at it.

I have a single hair that grows just below my eye (Well above my beard line). The irony here being, at 45, I still can’t grow a full beard.
And the other day, I plucked a hair from the bottom of my earlobe. When I uncurled the damn thing, it was nearly two inches long. I have no idea how I could have gone that long with out noticing it.

It may have grown below the surface until it emerged. I have had several long hairs suddenly emerge all kinked up. Guys who have beards can also tell you about the mystery of a whisker that suddenly protrudes 1/2 an inch or more one day no matter how often you trim and snip to keep things even.

I’ve got a couple of those, they are really thick and hard, plus they tend to be almost black where the rest of my hair is brown. Sometimes I will pluck them if they are partly ingrown as they start to hurt.

I have one hair that really annoys the hell out of me. It grows right below the rest of my hairs on my upper lip. It’s the thickness of a normal hair, but for some reason is really stiff. Since it’s on my lip it hurts at times too, and I can feel it when I close my mouth. I have a pair of tweezers at work so I can pluck the damned thing out every couple of weeks if need be. I really wish I could kill it off once and for all.

My right ear. Hair grows thick and I have to shave it at least once every couple weeks.

Left ear has less hair. I use the razor on it about once a month

Otherwise the hair will get almost an inch long.

I have one rogue hair that grows straight up out of the top of my ear. I pluck it as soon as it’s long enough but it always comes back!

I have one very long, fine hair that grows on my upper arm, in the vicinity of the smallpox inoculation scar. I forget its existence most of the time, until I’m drying off after a bath/shower/swim and try to pluck off what I think is a stray head hair that’s fallen on my arm–and it does wind up plucked, but it always grows back.

I have several hairs on my nose. Some are wispy, but two of them are thick and dark.
Same thing with my ears.

I have a “bang”. Some people have bangs in the plural sense, but I just have one, sprouting from my forehead. For the longest time, it would top out at about 3 or at most 4 inches. Nowadays, it is almost 6 inches long and goes down below my eyes! It is wispy enough that I have to look for it in the mirror every morning. It always makes me chuckle! I’m too attached to the goldang’d thing to cut it off.

For a long while, I had a similar hair on my right forearm. All my other arm hairs were at a reasonable length, but this thing must have thought that it was a head hair. It could sometimes grow to about 5 inches long. I never cut it, because it amused me. Haven’t seen it in the last few years, though.

This is great - my people!

I feel like starting a website …

I misspoke - I have this! Not the lobe as I said earlier but the same as you. Both ears.

It’s weird shit. Creeps right up on you.

I use a nasal trimmer to get in there.

Maybe you guys are part lynx :stuck_out_tongue:

When I was in my early twenties (over 40 years ago!), before I was covered in hair, I noticed a few hairs right at the edge of my areolae. I have very curly hair, so I stretched some out to see how long they were. One stretched out over six inches!

I was demonstrating the length for someone and I accidentally pulled it out. I should have saved it.

A single long straight blond hair sometimes grows out of my one of my sideburns. I have black hair with extremely tiny and tight curls. My mom got excited when she saw it and said it’s a family thing.

2 or 3 nipple hairs that get shaved when I see them. And one white fine hair that grows next to my nose (I call it a cat whisker) that is really hard to pluck since it is so wispy. And 2 or 3 coarse black hairs that grow from my beauty mark on my lip… i’m turning into a cartoon witch.

I also found a patch of hair on the back of leg by the ankle that I must have missed the few times I shaved last winter because they were … grossly curly and long.

It’s not fair: out of 8 siblings (5 girls, 3 boys) I am the second hairiest. Luckily, Mistermage doesn’t mind being married to a Sasquatch.
