:dubious:
Why do (or did) I have ONE eyebrow longer than all the others? Was it to annoy me? Am I a mutant? Was it an outside indicator of special powers?

If you have more than two eyebrows, you certainly are a mutant.
Got any long stray hairs coming out of your ears too?
It’s the hair mystery of middle aged men. Hair stops growing in places you want it to, and pops up in places you could live without it.
DOH I meant eyebrow hairs. DOH DOH!
edit: Can a mod add the word ‘hair’ to my thread title?
I have a friend who has a monobrow.
She has it professionally waxed back into a bi-brow configuration once a month.
I have one of those too. In addition, both of my eyebrows have spiky tufts sticking straight up about a half-inch from the inside ends.
It seems like you hardly ever see anybody sporting the ‘monobrow’ look these days.
It’s hard to believe that such an attractive look could fall out of fashion.
I get those every once in a while (along with the mutant ear hairs, too). I like to think that they give me a bit of a ‘mad scientist’ look, instead of just ‘old geezer’…
I’m getting more and more of these - and I’m a mid-thirties woman! First, they turn light blonde, then they grow out to astonishing lengths. I call them my wild Viking eyebrow hairs.
Then I pluck them, kill them, pile them in a small boat, set them on fire, and push them into a lake. It seems fitting.
As long as it is horizontal, it is within the parameters of the breed standard.
Oh, wait. I didn’t get it. i was thinking unibrow — not one champion strand of eyebrow hair. Yeah, that’s weird.
Fetchund says to tell you that she has one extra-long hair in the very middle of each eyebrow. And they’re a different at the base than the rest of her eyebrow hairs.
(I think she’s proud of them.)
One of my wife’s pet peeves is that I have one blond hair that keeps growing long out of my otherwise brown eyebrow. I never notice it but every so often it bugs her enough to make me pluck it out. It may be weird still but at least you’re not the only one.
No, don’t pluck them! See how long they grow! Maybe you can be the first person to have an eyebrow-stache.
I have one that grows on one eyebrow every couple of weeks. That’s why tweezers were invented…though if it gets really long you can just grab that sucker and yank.
I get extra-long hairs all the time. It’s turned into something of a tic for me. If my hands have nothing else to do, I’ll find myself brushing through my eyebrows and beard, feeling for long hairs and yanking them. Probably a bad habit, but you know how bad habits are.
Ha, my wife votes no! It’s only one hair but it would be interesting to see how long it would get. Hopefully another intrepid (and hairy) doper can take on the challenge.
In my twenties, I had one of those over each eye. It was a curiosity.
Gradually one became a couple became a few.
I’ve had the same girl cutting my hair for about 10 years. I value a good relationship and continuity with hairdressers. I don’t have to think about anything. She has kept my hair coiffed and looking stylish through many seasons. I trust her implicitly.
About 5 years ago, she ran her trimmer through my eyebrows and removed what was becoming the “Andy Rooney look”. I owe her many thanks for doing what others may have left. Who knows what I might look like today?
I went out and bought a little eyebrow trimmer set and have kept everything neat and tidy since that day. Who knows what I may look like if my eyebrows weren’t tended to?
It starts with one long eyebrow hair.
Well I for one am a champion for the monobrow. I want to see just how much hair my brows can produce in a lifetime.
I’m hardly middle aged and I get those stray eyebrow hairs, the ones half way along that just keep growing and pop noticeably out of line.
