What was the first question ever posted on the Straight Dope Message Board?
If you wish to see the earliest threads on this board, simply look in the address box of your browser. You’ll see a number that looks something like:
t=34251
Simply change that number to 1, or 2, or whatever. That will show you the earliest threads on this board.
Warning: To avoid the wrath of the mods, do not resurrect these zombie threads. Also, since some information was lost, the identities of the posters have in most cases been lost as well.
However, I can state that I am the OP of thread #8. I showed great foresight by signing my post.
The earliest posts are gone-- they were wiped out in some sort of transfer glitch, or something. My first post no longer exists.
Secondly, the Dope existed on AOL long before the Board as we know it came along. I don’t think any of that stuff is still around, either.
