It was particularly interesting to read about how the high price of milk in Alberta enters into this discussion. Did I say interesting? I meant really, really stupid. Like low brain activity stupid. How anyone would think this is vaguely relevant to the discussion I will leave as an exercise to the readers.

Competition between nations is a marketplace, and that is why we desire free trade - so that we can take advantage of comparative advantage and incentivize nations to do what they are best at in terms of what the web of world goods needs and what we all collectively value.
