A Shaolin Horse Can Walk Through Fences

He can be looked for, but cannot be seen…

My neighbor called my cellphone to tell me Irish and Nakota were loose. Both my neighbor and my step-father tried to catch them but they ran. I left work and drove home. Nakota was on the road, with Irish near her. As soon as they saw my car they started walking toward me. I figured a deer had gone through the electric fencing. I got feed and put them in my small 1/2 acre wire mesh fence paddock while I walked the fenceline. I walked almost a 1/2 mile to the end on the one side, but didn’t see it down anywhere. I walked back looking more closely. Still no break, but when I got back to the house, the horses were out again! I caught Nakota again, knowing Irish would follow. I tied her up and Irish immediately ran through the paddock and out the other end. It turns out a section of wire fence had come down, so they were getting out from the one spot I thought was horse-proof. I reset the fence and hopefully they’re contained.

What’s the punchline?

YogSosoth - No punchline, just horses who will not be contained. I’m thinking of changing Irish’s name to Kwai Chang Caine.

When I worked at a summer camp, we had a small pony, who would roll under the lowest board to get to the better grass on the other side. Many’s the day we found him grazing the athletic field in the morning – we must have walked the fence a hundred times before we figured it out. When he was found on the camp directors lawn, we had to keep him in at night. (there was no way for him to get near a road, it was not a safety issue). Little bastard.
