A sushi roll for every state

Eat during a tornado. Not boring.

When I visited friends in Springfield, everything had “chilli” in it or on it. Is this unique to Springfield, or is it common throughout Illinois?

P.S. I enjoyed it. I started putting chili into “devilled” eggs after my visit.

Most of these sound pretty good!

Can the northeners get in on this? Seems like a Quebec roll would have to be cheese curds and gravy, wrapped in a french fry…

An Ontario roll might be some thin-sliced venison, wrapped in rainbow trout, and drizzled with maple syrup.

Too much potato. Besides, this is actually a Central PA roll. Let Pittsburgh and Philly get their own rolls.

Is the paddlefish fished commercially? What does it taste like?

The State of Chicago Roll
Italian beef, sport peppers and smelts, no ketchup, wrapped in communion wafers.
Make it a combo with Italian sausage, addl’ 75¢
Extra pita: 50¢

That makes a futomaki look like a kappamaki!

Wow, that sounds good.
