A thought for Excalibre

That certainly came to mind. It’s probably part of what irritated me about the smileys. I don’t think there’s any risk of people mistaking Clockwork for whats-his-face, since that guy only used O_o. (To those who don’t know, this guy, I’m thinking his name was “zagadka”, got banned and then registered sock after sock - paying for several accounts in the process. And kept getting recognized because every time he would use that stupid smiley in half his posts. It made him extremely recognizable.) So yeah, whats-his-face sort of tainted anime smileys in my mind.

That sounds fair, but I meant that it looked like he overreacted to **Baker’s ** post.
For that matter to be fair, I think **Clock ** overreacted to a mild statement by **Excalibre ** but **Clock ** seem to take it mostly with humor.
BTW: I read **Baker’s ** post as a gentle reassurance to a new poster.

I got no complaint with Clockwork. Like I said, I was just giving an opinion, and I certainly have no complaint with him for not accepting it.

I think that’s a bit troubling an interpretation given how he described my post in this thread.

so for those keeping score at home, does an over-reaction to an over-reaction count as 1? two? 3??

Once again – SHE. Dude look like a lady because she IS a lady.

Yep, Baker is good people, good female people to be exact, and given her heart over the years it’s more likely she was attempting to soothe, not ruffle.

Two separate issues I think. It looked like she was giving a little support to a guest; it looks like you overreacted to her post. It looks like she came over to an existing pit thread to vent about your overreaction.
Perhaps this is a case of elevating overreactions. It looks like she got annoyed with you and rather than derail a Café thread, came to the appropriate place to complain.
