As we all are aware, the MAGA crazy has filtered way down from Trump through the senate, house , state and local governments. We don’t need a thread for each one (except the big ol’ Mark Robinson thread, good riddance) but I’m interested in what sort of shit the downballot races are experiencing.
In Ohio, corrupt car salesman Bernie Moreno (R) is trying to oust good-guy Sherrod Brown (D) for senate. Recently he pondered why women, especially women over 50, are so concerned about abortion.
“You know, the left has a lot of single-issue voters,” Moreno said late last week at a town hall–style event. “Sadly, by the way, there’s a lot of suburban women, a lot of suburban women that are like, ‘Listen, abortion is it. If I can’t have an abortion in this country whenever I want, I will vote for anybody else.’ … OK. It’s a little crazy by the way, but — especially for women that are like past 50 — I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t think that’s an issue for you.’”
Yeah put it all out on the table there, Bernie. Why on earth would people be concerned for the health and wellbeing of other people? Crazy talk!
