I’m seeing a 90 mile length of tuned rumble strips that play the most popular Pride anthems of the last 30 years… since you have to drive it at 45 mph to work, they can take all the time they like.
I would also hope their all brat-cheese-and-beer diet had qualified them for the F.A.R.T. ( NSFW warning!) brigade during the drive.

I believe that’s a list of everyone who was arrested in the county that day, not just the MAGAts. The ones charged with “criminal conspiracy” are the ones of interest.
Looking at it a second time, I figured that out. There were 46 arrestees that day, and they couldn’t all have been from that incident.

Well, now you’ve just made me want to learn to drive a truck, and then get recruited by Patriot Front.
These guys are yahoos, of course, and I’m glad they were spotted and arrested before they got to the Pride event. But with the history of gay bashing in this country and the current political mood, I’m finding it hard to chuckle about this. I can easily imagine these assholes storming out of that truck and bashing heads in a real riot - it could have been extremely ugly.
Note: I am not saying this to chastise anyone who is laughing at these jerks. Laugh away, I’m just not feeling it right now.
I’ll agree that the Pride event people were local. I can’t imagine out-of-town gay people looking around for an event to attend and thinking " Coeur d’Alene sounds lovely". My son brought his almost two year old to the Brooklyn Pride event and they both had a great time. To the best of my knowledge they’re both cis, but the music and street food are genderless. They probably had a better time than the Patriot Front, anyway.
I wonder what the buzz was amongst the event attendees when they heard about it. I doubt many laughed about it.
Why didn’t they rent a bus?
Civilians ride buses. They probably convinced themselves it was just like being loaded into a troop carrier. They had this heroic mental image of flooding out of the van in an organized formation and shocking everyone with their display of martial prowess.
And they had the U-Haul ramp and everything.
I imagine that (a) it’s difficult to rent a bus of that size without also having to hire a driver, and (b) a U-Haul truck might be cheaper.
Good point. A one-day, in-town U-haul rental is very cheap.
