A Valuable Lesson Learned (TMI warning)...

Wow, Lucki, I’m new here, and I don’t know you, but it sounds like this is a continuing problem. From the title of your thread, I hope you have learned a lesson and won’t be binge drinking anymore. You mentioned going off and be irresponsible without lasting consequences…well, sorry, but binge drinking while underage does have lasting consequeces. First of all, if you’re in high school, it’s illegal. How are you getting so much liquor? Whoever is providing it could get in trouble.
And you will die if you continue to drink like this. The University of Maryland (College Park campus) has had several alcohol-related deaths recently, from kids drinking too much.

Do you drive while drunk? If someone else drives you home, do you “play around” and grab the steering wheel? What happens when you get home? Do your parents know you’ve been drinking?

And please explain something to me. What is the attraction of drinking so much that you barf all over yourself? Once, I could see, but why do you continue to do it?
Is puking all over yourself and lying a pool of vomit so much fun that you have to do it over and over every weekend?
Does it impress the ladies? Do your friends think you’re really cool for doing that?
Please explain. I’m not being sarcastic; I’m an old lady (37) who just doesn’t get the attraction of drinking till you puke on yourself.

Well, in Lucki’s defense, I was him in HS. I’d go out with my friends (one of whom was our class valedictorian) and get utterly bombed. I graduated 15th in my class, and am now a Productive Member of Society. I still drink too many martinis (mmm - yummy!) from time to time, but only in the comfort of my own home. It can be done. And, based on the attitude I’ve seen from Lucki over the past few weeks, I’m thinking he’s realized and fixed his problems. The drug problem thread he posted before the outage was concerning, but nothing he’s posted recently has been in any way indicative of anything I didn’t do as a kid. He is right, though, when he says you must absolutely trust the people you’re doing it with. Which is why I stay home now.

And I must be singularly lucky (?). I’ve gotten sick on many different alcoholic substances, and yet never had a problem with them on future occasions. Go figure. Then again, I’ve been a “social” smoker for years. Chain smoke when I’m with smokers, then not again until the next time. Some people are like that.
